"Welcome to Reid, this is..."

This is the friendly greeting encountered by anyone calling our Internal Sales Office, whether you are a first time caller or one of our regulars.  The Reid Internal Sales Team has been operating now for some 4 years.  Although initially there was a little scepticism toward a centralised sales office, we believe many minds have been changed with the service levels we are now able to offer.  Thank you for taking this step with us and supporting us in ultimately supporting you.  With the intense product training all members of the team receive when recruited, we strive to give the best possible customer service available.  From ongoing training sessions with product managers, through to spending days with account managers in precast yards, tilt-up and major project sites across the country, we intend to leave no stone (or concrete block) unturned in personnel development.  This focus on personnel development is our commitment to ensuring we can answer your questions when you call our Internal Sales Department.

Now to introduce the team and in their own words …

Billie

I joined the sales team at Reid just shy of a year ago, and from the first step I took through the door everyday has been a learning curve.  Having worked in the plumbing and sheet metal industry for 6 years I gained knowledge involving some construction applications.  Being more of a visual person I take advantage of site visits, product catalogues/web and samples on shelf as they help me to better understand the technical and practical aspects of Reid’s products which I canthen relay to our customers.  Socially known as a fitness freak, I revolve most of my personal time around staying healthy & keeping active.  I enjoy watching the footy (AFL) just like many other people, and like challenging myself by taking up a few extreme ones like snowboarding, kick boxing & rock climbing (which involves overcoming my fear of heights).

Sharron

I’ve been with Reid for 18 months and have enjoyed learning about the product range, their use and applications.  My background is in Retail Sales, Manufacturing/Production, Real Estate and P/A Admin support.  After an initial intensive induction period we also attend regular product training/refresher sessions both at the office and on-site with some of our customers.  By far, the best thing about working at Reid is the people.  We not only stand behind our product, we also support each other.  If I’m unable to provide an answer on the spot I have a support network second to none who always take the time to assist.  Outside of work I like to catch up with friends, family, relax and travel when I can.  My father was in the armed forces so I’ve lived in most states of Australia except TAS & NT.  Next year’s goal is to climb Ayers Rock for the third time!

Grant

I’ve been with the greater ITW family now for just on ten years.  Over that time I have worked in various roles including warehousing, QA, account management and now as the Manager of the Internal Sales department.  The experience I have gained within each of these roles has helped me better understand not only the Reid product, but also the needs of those who pay my bills; our customers.  Thankfully I have four wonderfully dedicated team members around me who also think the same way.  As a keen Kangaroos supporter (AFL not that other game called footy) and follower of most/all sports, my free time is spent either participating or supporting (sometimes from the armchair) my teams.  I also enjoy venturing up into the hills on my motorbike.

Vickie

I am the newest member to the Internal Sales team and as challenging as it is learning Reid’s vast product range, I enjoy experiencing something new every day and dealing with all our wonderful customers.  I am learning a lot about the Industry and am enjoying the challenges it presents. It was a big change from working in a factory to working in the office but I am enjoying every minute of it, my team members are a great support and help me out as much as they can.  In my spare time my main enjoyment/passion is horse riding.  Although I don’t own my own horse I like to ride as much as I can on weekends.  Playing sport is another passion of mine with netball being my favorite.

Meagan

I’ve been with Reid in Internal Sales for almost 3 years and continue to enjoy the challenges the industry presents.  The knowledge and skills I gained in similar roles in the Railways and Building industries enabled me to transition quickly into the Reid business and ‘hit the ground running’.  As the longest serving Customer Service Consultant, I have seen the business grow and expand in both products/services as well as office space.  Over this time I have continued to focus on improving my knowledge and skills to allow me to better service our customer’s needs.  In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball, reading, socializing with friends and meeting new people.
