The Revolution Begins

Based on a concept originally developed by independent NSW engineers John Burke and Alan Walsh, the patented OrbiPlate™ assembly provides a quick and effective, fully rated, structural connection.  OrbiPlate overcomes the challenge regularly faced in concrete construction – accurately locating cast-in ferrules and the elements to which they must be connected. The unique OrbiPlate system delivers a much needed solution that provides connection tolerances of up to 20mm in a 360 degree “orbit” around the centre of the connection in any direction, regardless of the system’s orientation. This translates into a threefold increase in the target area for a typical M20 ferrule connection, and unrivalled connection tolerances.

Orbiplate is comprised of a main circular washer with an elongated slot surrounded by serrated teeth that provide the effective mechanical lock with a secondary, smaller washer used to position the main structural bolt as required.

The Orbiplate provides a solution for a wide range of connections to concrete elements, including but not limited to, steel brackets, angles, connection plates, steel trusses, steel beams and columns, and even curtain walling and façade panels.
