GeniSys Precast Formwork System


 
 

GeniSys is a basic, simple to use and cost-effective magnetised formwork system which provides precasters with efficiencies in panel set up time, reduced labour costs, yet delivers a high quality panel finish.

Comprising of just 6 main components, the GeniSys Precast Formwork System includes mill-finished, fixed height aluminium formwork in 150mm and 180mm, ABS External End Caps, a permanent joiner kit and the GeniSys Magnet Clamp.  



GeniSys Aluminium Sideform:
Available in 150mm and 180mm fixed height profiles, GeniSys Sideform is an ultra lightweight, mill finished edge form extruded from 6005 T6 structural grade aluminium.
Supplied in 5.8 metre lengths, GeniSys sideform also features
12mm top and bottom chamfers, a centre line marking for alignment of fittings, and a top groove which depicts the actual face edge for quick panel layout and measuring. 

GeniSys Magnet Clamp:
The GeniSys Precast Magnet Clamp (GMC1) is a lightweight and
safe-to-use formwork clamp that boasts up to 950kgs of clamp force. Supplied with a pre-fitted universal steel adapter plate,
the GMC1 is easily engaged into the rear of the GeniSys sideform, and can be quickly adapted for use on other sideform systems including timber, aluminium or steel shutters. 

GeniSys Accessories:
The GeniSys External Corner End Caps provide a neat join between sideform sections which meet in a T-section. Manufactured from ABS thermoplastic, the end caps are lightweight, rigid and strong.

The GeniSys Sideform Joiners are ribbed extrusions designed for
semi-permanent joining of 2 lengths of sideform. Supplied in pairs,
the joiner sections are extruded in 300mm lengths and fit with the internal chambers of GeniSys sideform.  

 
 
 
 



 



GeniSys Sideform
Features and Benefits:

GeniSys Magnet Clamp
Features and Benefits:



1. Safe: Handle design improves OH&S preventing
    hands from being caught between the 
    housing and handle.


2. Tough: The glass reinforced plastic magnet
     housing is job site tough and is easy to keep clean.


3. Powerful: The Genisys Magnet pack delivers
    up to 950kgs in clamp force!


4. Clean: Nitrile rubber skirt improves horizontal
   load resistence and seals the underside of the magnet.


5. Versatile: The GeniSys steel adapter plate can
    also be easily adapted for use on other  types of
    formwork systems.




 


GeniSys End Caps
Handy Hints:


The GeniSys External Corner End Caps provide a neat join between sideform sections which meet in a T-section. Manufactured from ABS thermoplastic, the end caps are lightweight, rigid and strong. The GeniSys End Caps have a matching 12mm top and bottom chamfer.

The Left and right sets are supplied as a single piece
that cut be cut with a hacksaw or knife - refer Image (A).

Simply snap the two halves apart - refer Image (B).

The left and right hand caps are then inserted into the ends of
the GeniSys sideform - refer Image (C).

Use a bead of silicone in the corners to
prevent concrete bleed.





GeniSys Joiner Kit
Handy Hints:

The GeniSys Sideform Joiners are ribbed extrusions designed for semi-permanent joining of 2 lengths of sideform. Supplied in pairs, the joiner sections are extruded in 300mm lengths and fit with the internal chambers of GeniSys sideform.

Simply insert both joiners to approximately 150mm into one end of
the formwork - refer Image (A).

Fix the joiners to the formwork with screws- refer Image (B).

Slide both sections of the formwork together - refer Image (C).

Fix the other side with screws - refer Image (D).


NoxCrete™ Seasonox™

To prevent chemical reaction between
concrete and the sideform, Reid
recommends the application of NoxCrete Seasonox on mill-finished GeniSys sideform before use. Seasoning will help prolong the life of the sideform. 


 

Kleenskin™ from Reid

KleenSkin is a water-based masking
compound for tools, equipment and surrounds, which  protects against concrete “spatter”, spillage, and run-off.

KleenSkin forms a thin protective film, producing a non-stick surface which neutralizes cement on contact and prevents adhesion. This dual release mechanism ensures KleenSkin keeps treated surfaces clean and free of concrete build-up.

Hardened concrete can be simply removed from treated surfaces by light pressure wash, soap and water, or light tapping.

These gentle removal methods avoid mechanical surface damage caused from hammering, grinding, and chiseling.
