The provision of concrete cover to steel reinforcing is an essential element in producing durable reinforced concrete structures.  Concrete cover relates to the thickness of concrete covering steel reinforcement.  This provides corrosion protection by providing an alkali environment to avoid the acidic conditions in which corrosion occurs, as well as a physical barrier to prevent access of corrosive elements, such as water, salt, and chlorides.

The mesh chair is designed to clip easily to the intersection of the mesh, providing greater strength and stability.  Mesh chairs can be used with extensions for added height if required.

Designed to support single layered mesh in tile-up and precast panels.  The easy push on clip mechanism allows the chair to swing into a vertical position when lowering the mesh into the form and suits all mesh sizes including N12 bars.  Dimples located at the base of the legs ensure minimum exposure.
